Well hi there.
As this blog is brand new, I wanted to take a second to introduce myself!
So here we go- my name is Danielle (Dani) Peterson. I am a wife to my wonderful husband Ben, owner of a beautiful German Shepherd named Alta, and a daughter to my also wonderful parents, Keith and Joleen.
Ben and I first met while serving as church missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Ukraine in 2014. It took us a few years after that to deepen our friendship and realize that there was something more there. Now we are married and enjoying our early 30’s and this stage of our lives as we try to start a family of our own and navigate this time of endless future planning (worrying and fretting in my case) and large, important decision making.
As a child, my parents moved us around a lot, which gave me incredible opportunities within the United States and abroad, living in Europe for 4 years and starting my schooling years speaking fluent French. I still have a great love for Europe and my style and tastes were greatly shaped by my time there, and back East where collectively I spent most of my formative years.
Currently, Ben and I are looking ahead to starting our own family and deciding a course for our lives-as I am preparing to take on the role of mother, and he is preparing to join the military and serve our country. Both feel like daunting tasks at the moment, but we are both excited and proud of the goals and dreams we have espoused and are working towards.
I hope this blog can be a way to inspire seasonal living and finding ways of beautifying the little moments of our lives along the way. I hope it can be a place to connect and share some of the fun things that we are currently enjoying as a family. And I also hope that it can become a place of family record keeping, to document moments and experiences that are irreplaceable and perhaps universally understandable.
I hope you enjoy reading my thoughts, musings, ideas, and little moments on here as much as I enjoy sharing them. And I hope that they inspire you to find joy in the little moments of your own lives as well, wherever your journeys take you.
