If you’re like me, you love your mother but finding a nice gift for Mother’s Day can sometimes feel a bit tricky!
So in an attempt to help us all out with some fun ideas, I’ve compiled a list of a few that I thought would be fun to give or receive. I hope they help you get inspired with some gift ideas for the woman who made you.
1. Bocce Ball/Yard Games
Spring and summer in our family are yard game season. My parents have a beautiful back yard for entertaining and they love having fun games to play outdoors with their kids and grandkids.
They already own a Croquet Set, Bean Bag Toss & Boards, and even have a golf putting green, so I thought this year a Bocce Ball set would add to the collection nicely.
My favorite set is this Bocce Ball Set from Joanna Gaines’ Hearth & Hand with Magnolia line available at Target.

Or if you like to express gratitude with a price tag- there is this beautiful Bocce Ball Set from Serena & Lily that would do the job quite nicely!

2. Potted Flowers

While a bouquet of flowers is always nice, give your mom something that will last a little longer this year. Instead of a cut flower bouquet, try a potted plant that she can keep and enjoy for years to come.
I always love checking out my local nurseries for plants or you can order beautiful rose varieties from companies like David Austin for a signature flower picked just with mom in mind.
3. Digital Mother’s Day Card

Maybe you live far away, or your mother is a no-fuss lady that likes to keep things simple. Either way, a digital Card is a fun way to express how you feel without too much hubbub.
My favorite app for creating digital cards is the Givingli app, where not only can you choose from hundreds of different designs and styles, but you can also customize your cards and include a gift card to one of hundreds of different vendors that mom would love!
4. Cute Cookware with a Spring Cookbook
I come from a big foodie family, and I am always eyeing cute new dishes and bakeware to use in my kitchen.
If your mother likes to cook too, try getting a beautiful, feminine set of cookware, like Le Creuset Olive Branch Collection from William Sonoma.

And to go with it, add a lovely Spring Cookbook full of new ideas to try like the Love & Lemons Cookbook available for purchase on Amazon.

Or, to stay on trend, try this lovely French comfort food cookbook from the NYC Café by the same name, Maman, also available on Amazon.

5. Jewelry with a heartfelt message
If it’s hard to find the right words to express how you feel, let Bryan Anthonys Jewelry do the talking for you. Bryan Anthonys is a company with beautiful jewelry and a beautiful message– that life is too short to not tell them how you feel.
I love looking at all their different pieces and the beautiful heartfelt messages that take these pieces from just another bracelet or necklace- to a heartfelt keepsake that reminds them of you.
With hundreds of styles and designs, and hundreds of different messages, it’s easy to find just the right piece that explains your relationship, like this beautiful tennis bracelet for mom. (Also available on Amazon).

6. Tickets for an event or getaway together

If your mom loves experiences and time together (or maybe just some time alone!) more than material things, try giving her tickets to something she’ll love!
The sky is the limit here, but try to think of something you know she would enjoy more than yourself.
Maybe you try a new cooking or ceramics class together.
Maybe you buy her a massage and a few hours away from home to be by herself.
Maybe you take her to see that new movie with the actor she likes, or get tickets to go to a symphony or ballet together.
Or maybe you go big and plan a girls getaway trip somewhere fun where you can get massages, sit on the beach and stick your toes in the sand!
A great place to find ideas is Groupon, where they have thousands of different deals on classes and experiences in your area, or in your mom’s area if you aren’t close by.
7. Storyworth Keepsake Book

Nothing says “I love you” like being curious about someone’s life. And it’s never to early, or too late to really get to know your mom- who she is now and who she was before you came along.
A meaningful way to do that is with Storyworth.
Storyworth is a company that compiles your loved ones stories and experiences into a beautiful book that can be printed and passed down for generations to come.
Every week you pick from a list of question prompts or create your own prompt for your loved one to consider and write about. The prompt is emailed to your loved one who responds to the email with their story or response. At the end of one year of weekly prompts, their stories are compiled into a keepsake book that the whole family can enjoy.
We have done these with our grandparents and they have been so meaningful.
Maybe I’m the sentimental writer type, but I love hearing stories about my relatives and getting to know them better, and I think this could be a beautiful way to deepen that bond with mom in the year ahead.
And if you play your cards right, it could even work as two gifts! If you start the process this year, the book will be completed the next, so you’ll be able to present mom with her own life’s history, beautifully bound and preserved with all of her stories in her own words.
I hope these gift ideas have inspired you with some of your own. Good luck gifting, and a special thank you to all of the wonderful women who mother to those around them in incredible and varied ways. You inspire me!
Happy Mother’s Day!
